1.What percentage of the world`s supply of fresh water? 2.5%
2.Where is the worlds supply of fresh water found? 2.5% of 2% is in iceburgs and 0.49% is found in ground water and soil and the other 0.01% is in the atmosphear, rivers and lakes.
3.Even though the supply of fresh water is abundant it is still a problem. why? Yes because most of the water in the world is SALT water.
4.Obseve the map of world`s average annual precipitation(opposite)
(a)Describe the changes in rainfall that occurs as you move from the southern to the northern tip of africa. Near SOuth africa, it does rain a lot but in the northen side of africa.
(b)Describe the changes in rainfall that occurs as you move from the western to the eastern tip of Austrailia along the Tropic of Capricorn. The west side does not rain but the east side, it rains more.
5.Observe the map above of water availability per person
(a)Which parts of the world apear to have a large amount of water available per person? South america and north america and russia
(b)Which parts of the world apear to have a small amount of water available per person? North of SOuth Africa and Europe and China
6.Observe the diagrahm of water use.
(a)what are the main uses of water? Reservoir losses from evaporation and seepage.
(b)Which uses have increased the most over the last century? Reservoir losses from evaporation and seepage.
