Dear Journal (Grampa writing)

Dear journal,
I was amazed how much things has changed through the years I have been in shanghai (1994-2006). Especially the last year because when I came to shanghai, the place was like Indonesia but now it's a humongous city with skyscrapers and big buildings except for the market in the city with fake copies of DVD. In 2004, I had to retire because I was 65 years old but I liked Shanghai so much, I stayed in Shanghai for 2 more years. In those 2 years, everyday was a fun day because I went shopping and to parties with my wife. The last year I was in Shanghai, it smelled bad, dirty, lots of trucks, cars, buses and bicycles. I hope my grandson would have a life like mine or better.

The soccer match

On the weekend, I went to play in the soccer match against this indonesian team. When I woke up I was real excited and nervous about the game. I got to BIS, I went to the feild to get ready for the match. The other team came onto the field. Some of them were small and fat in my experience of soccer, some small fat kids are real skilled at soccer.
The match started and my position was striker. For the first part of the first quarter, it was 0-0 but at the end of the quarter, one of my teammates crossed the ball in and I scored with a volley. But in the second quarter, The other team scored by chipping the ball over the goalie. The third and fourth quater, they scored 1 goal in each quarter. The score was 3-1 and we lost but it was atleast fun.
